Our Team

Thomas Rudkins has been working in the prolife arena for the past 14 years. In 2009 he launched Options United, a nonprofit based in Pasadena, CA. Coming from a large Catholic family in rural Oklahoma, working for a variety of non-profits and eventually earning a degree in philosophy while in Rome, Italy all played a role that lead him to launching a digital based prolife organization. An interesting side note to his accomplishments, he was co-founder of Camp Kodiak, a “survival camp in a spiritual environment” based in Alaska. Thomas and his family live in Camarillo, CA.

Denise Lopez’ call to work in the prolife mission began 23 years ago. Working on a 24-hour crisis helpline, praying as a sidewalk counselor, directing the Respect Life Committee at her Church, volunteering at Pregnancy Resource Centers and working as a Pregnancy Center Manager and Advocate prepared her to Manage and Guide the Options United Call Center. “Being a Mother of 5 has been the foundation God gave to be able to say Yes to work with Thomas to manage and mentor the Call Responders”. Denise and her family reside in the San Gabriel Valley.

My call to life began as a little girl while praying outside abortion clinics with my dad. I was just a child and maybe I didn't understand exactly what was going on inside an abortion clinic but I did know then that babies needed to be saved. Growing up I got involved in pro-life groups here in Orange County where I had the opportunity to learn more about this mission. In my heart, I knew I could do more for the unborn. I'm blessed now and happy to say that I work as a manager for a Crisis Helpline where I give women the opportunity to choose life instead of abortion during their crucial hours of an unplanned pregnancy. Outside of Options United, I continue my mission of life by bringing this truth to the Spanish community here in Orange County.

A baby brought Thania to Options United! While in attendance at a baby shower Thania met Denise Lopez. The two began talking about the line of work they were both in and the rest is history. Thania had always been pro-life but was not actively involved in pro-life ministries. The most pro-life work she had done was teaching confirmation students about the dignity of every human life and the importance of defending life. It was not until Thania began to work for Options United that she immersed herself in the pro-life ministry, she describes this job as "been a great blessing ever since, as call responders we are in the front lines doing God's work." Thania resides in the San Gabriel Valley.

Our Board

Nicole Bise resides in Pasadena with her husband David. Nicole and David both grew up in the Pasadena area (David in South Pasadena) and graduated from the University of Southern California. Nicole has worked in commercial real estate for CBRE for almost 20 years. Nicole comes from an devout Catholic family with 6 sisters and 6 brothers-in-law. She has learned greatly from her parents, who instilled their strong faith and moral values in all of her family members. Nicole is an active member of the Christ Child Society and currently serves on the alumnae board of Mayfield Senior School (where she attended high school). She and her husband are parishioners at both St. Bede the Venerable in La Canada and St. Andrews in Pasadena, where Nicole serves as a Eucharistic minister to the sick and elderly. Nicole continues to show her support of Options United by donating her time and financial resources.

Kary Eldred is President and Chief Investment Officer of Living Stones Foundation and resides in Dallas. Previously he was in the Venture Capital industry in Silicon Valley where he served as principal of Parakletos Ventures, a boutique technology fund focused largely on the semiconductor, mobile communication, and display markets. He was involved in several investments in companies that had IPOs and/or acquisitions in the US, China and Korea. He has served in board level positions in several private companies including on the audit committee of one that went through the S-1 registration process to go public on NASDAQ. Kary brings further board experience to Options United by currently serving on the board of two Christian foundations and two ministry boards overseas, one of those being The Alpha Course in Spain, which is bringing the Alpha Course through the Catholic Church into Spain along the lines of the New Evangelization strategy of the Catholic Church.

Kevin integrates marketing theory and traditional direct response best-practices with digital marketing in the development of his cutting-edge programs. Over the past decade, Kevin has managed tens of millions of dollars in annual ad spend for clients across dozens of product and service categories, amassing over 40,000 hours of experience in digital marketing.

Prior to joining MQ&C, Kevin spent 10 years at Zoetics, a business and marketing think-tank providing advice to clients such as Philips Electronics, Kodak, AT&T, Kraft, General Mills and Time-Warner. Kevin has been featured in Fast Company.
